Presentation of the project duration: The main goal of the building energy development project is partial thermal insulation affecting the structure of the building, modernization of windows, reduction of coal and electrical energy consumption, and installation of machines utilizing renewable energy sources at Révfülöp Hotel Ltd. facilities. Due to outdated structures and windows, the building experiences significant heat loss and has high energy consumption. Retrofitting the affected structures and partial replacement of windows can significantly reduce the building’s heat losses, increase heat storage capacity, and raise the surface temperature of the building’s structures. The technical characteristics of the heating and hot water system to be developed under the project fall far behind contemporary energy expectations, leading to significant fossil energy consumption. Key interventions include the replacement of existing outdated heating equipment with modern, low-energy, and environmentally friendly devices, as well as the installation of system elements enabling central control. The newly installed heating equipment can meet the heat demand of both the heating and hot water systems. The modernization of the internal lighting system under the project results in significant electrical energy savings. In addition to increasing energy efficiency, modern lighting fixtures have a significantly longer lifespan compared to traditional fluorescent and incandescent lighting systems, reducing the long-term production of difficult-to-recycle hazardous waste. The use of renewable energy sources is a crucial factor in today’s energy context. As part of the project, a large-scale solar collector system and an air-to-water heat pump system have been installed. As part of the modernization program, external shading structures have been placed on the building at critical points exposed to summer sunlight.
