Surroundings

Révfülöp is situated on the northern shore of Lake Balaton, in the Balaton Uplands, at the gateway to the Káli Basin. It is a beloved, friendly, and family-oriented holiday destination in the region, preserving its authentic Balatonian atmosphere. As Révfülöp and its surroundings offer opportunities for both peaceful relaxation and active recreation, it is the perfect location for any excursion, vacation, or event. Throughout the year, the region provides numerous useful, interesting, and entertaining activities and attractions, ensuring that every age group will find something enjoyable. This area entices visitors to relax all year round – tranquil in winter, awakening in spring, bustling in summer, but truly vibrant in autumn.

Révfülöp’s main attraction is, of course, Lake Balaton, with its two popular beaches, Szigeti and Császtai. Besides swimming and sunbathing, Révfülöp and its surroundings offer numerous water sports activities such as sailing, boating, and fishing, as well as various leisure activities. In addition to the beachside cafes, you can find a pleasant row of buffets near the Révfülöp pier, offering everything from chicken stew to french fries, lángos (fried dough), and sausage combos.

After dinner, we recommend taking a leisurely stroll to the pier, where you can sample the offerings of several ice cream parlors, and children can enjoy playgrounds and arcade games. Since 2011, the Révfülöp pier has also been a location for the filming of the Balaton Summer TV program.

In Révfülöp, it’s worth exploring the Mediterranean-style narrow streets, then taking a walk through the forest to the Fülöp-hegyi Lookout, where, without exaggeration, you can enjoy the most beautiful panorama of the northern shore of Lake Balaton. If this hike seems too short, you can choose from the wonderful sights of the Káli Basin, allowing you to explore the beautiful Balaton Uplands. Some of the rich in attractions town include Kővágóörs, Kékkút, Salföld, Mindszentkálla, Szentbékkálla, Köveskál, Balatonhenye, and Monoszló.

For a less strenuous but interesting full-day program, you can explore the area by bike, taking a route from Révfülöp to Kővágóörs, Köveskál, Szentbékkálla, Mindszentkálla, Salföld, Ábrahámhegy, Balatonrendes, and back to Révfülöp, covering approximately 30 kilometers.
